A static display is the part of an air show, trade fair or open day where aircraft are parked on the ground for visitors to walk around, rather than flown. Manufacturers, operators and air forces use static displays to show new aircraft to buyers, and owners of vintage and historic aircraft bring them out for the public. Organisers need parking space, barriers, ground handling and marshalling, and owners usually need to agree insurance and arrival and departure slots in advance.
There is currently 1 listing in this section, in Spain: MRO Europe Aviation Week, a large aviation maintenance event that attracts over 10,000 attendees.
For more events with aircraft on show, browse air shows, aviation events and industry aviation conferences. Exhibitors moving aircraft to and from a show can find ground handling companies in their own section.
