Zurich Airport

Zurich Airport is the main airport for the city of Zurich in Switzerland. It is run by Flughafen Zürich AG and serves passengers, visitors and business partners.

Passengers can look up departures and arrivals for each day. They can also book parking and use a paid service called ZRH Comfort. This gives access to a priority lane through security. It also includes a drink and a snack from partners such as Pret A Manger, Starbucks and NZZ Café, which are easy to reach at every dock.

The airport offers 20 self bag drop machines for travellers who want to hand in their luggage. A partner service can also collect bags from a home or hotel and check them in. On the way back, the same service can collect bags from the carousel and deliver them. Guides explain the security check and list what is allowed in luggage.

Border control can take longer for some travellers. Since the EU Entry/Exit System began, people from non-EU countries must register their biometric data. The process is unchanged for travellers from Switzerland and the EU or EFTA. All passengers are asked to arrive at the airport in line with the recommended times.

Work is going on across the airport. The Skymetro, which links parts of the airport, is being modernised. In the second and final phase, one of the two tunnels is expected to be closed from 3 November to about May 2027. The airport shopping area is also being redesigned, so some routes are temporary. New shops and services are opening.

Zurich Airport also offers things to do beyond flying. These include observation decks, outdoor places to eat and drink, and events around the airport.
