Texarkana Regional Airport

Texarkana Regional Airport, code TXK, is an airport at 201 Airport Dr in Texarkana, Arkansas. It offers daily nonstop flights to Dallas Fort Worth on American Airlines. Passengers can connect there to many other places.

The airport has a new passenger terminal of 40,000 square feet. It sits across the airfield from the old terminal, next to the aircraft rescue and firefighting station. The terminal has enclosed boarding bridges and more room for shops and food outlets. It has capacity for three airlines.

The primary runway, 4/22, is 6,601 feet long and 150 feet wide. It has ILS and GPS approaches. The crosswind runway, 13/31, is 5,200 feet long and 100 feet wide. The airport has an air traffic control tower and fire rescue cover at ARFF Index A. Plans include extending the primary runway to 7,101 feet in 2025 and looking at 8,101 feet later. Another plan is to strengthen it to take aircraft as large as the 777 and 747. The airport says the runway project will not close the runways this fall.

The airport has several lots of 15 acres or more that can be split up. They are ready for build to suit aircraft hangars, maintenance hangars or aircraft manufacturing sites. Roads nearby include Interstate 49, Highway 67 and Interstate 30. The airport says its landing fees, lease rates and fuel flowage fees are low.
