Cirrus batteries
The Battery Finder on teledynebattery.com lists Cirrus among the manufacturers for several batteries. The G-243 is a 24 volt dry charged battery rated at 10 Ah at the one hour rate, 17 A for 30 minutes and 150 cold cranking amps at 0 degrees F, weighing about 26 lb filled; its application list names the Cirrus SR20 and SR22 (alongside Cessna 152, 172, 182, 210 and 303 models and Slingsby T67), and the site shows the Cirrus SR22 as one of its popular aircraft. The sealed 7243-16 is also listed for Cirrus aircraft, with SR22 and SR22T among its models. The G-243 page cross-references the 7243-14 and 7243-16 as similar sealed options.
Approvals
Batteries carry FAA-PMA approval; the sealed LT series are TSO authorised and DO-160E tested. The site states that the sealed models require no STC or modification for installation on specified aircraft. Each battery page gives the type (dry charged or sealed), nominal voltage, weight filled, one hour and 30 minute capacity, cold cranking amps, the electrolyte needed for dry charged models and a list of similar batteries, so owners can compare a flooded Gill battery with its sealed equivalent.
