Team Texas

Team Texas is a membership program that promotes Texas to businesses that want to locate in the state. It is run through the Texas Economic Development Council. The program was founded in 1986. Its office is at 919 Congress Avenue in Austin, Texas.

The program aims to create jobs, bring new investment and diversify the economy. Its members are Texas communities and regional partners. The site says each member can market its own community and the state as a whole. The site also has a staff and advisory council page.

The site lists key industries for business moves to Texas. These are advanced manufacturing, aerospace and aviation, agriculture, automotive, biotechnology and medical supply, corporate headquarters, energy, information technology, and supply chain and logistics.

The site uses several facts about the state. It says Texas is the eighth largest economy in the world and is home to over 49 Fortune 500 headquarters. It says the state has the second largest civilian workforce in the United States, at over 14 million people. It says Texas is the top destination for companies moving from other states.

The home page features examples of projects. These include Continental Structural Plastics investing more than 65 million dollars in a new composites plant in Seguin. It also includes an Amazon fulfillment center in El Paso that the site says will add over 700 jobs, and a TaskUs expansion in Harlingen.

The site has an interactive map and pages on tax advantages and incentives. Visitors can start a search for cities that suit their industry. The team has a membership hub and a page on member projects and wins. There is a newsletter sign up.
