STMB-ROSSE

STMB-ROSSE is a French precision machining and mechanical assembly company based at 6 rue de la Gare in Les Aix-d'Angillon, in the Centre region of France, with a second address at Chemin des Comtois in Chuelles. It describes itself as specialised in precision machining for aeronautics and says it has been recognised in industrial machining for more than 30 years. It is part of the family-owned TEXALLIANCE group, whose companies work in machining, bar turning, precision aluminium profile extrusion, micro-tubes, forging, laser micro-cutting and metal injection moulding.

• Machining of complex mechanical parts in small and medium series, mainly in aluminium, steels, stainless steel, plastic and copper, from prototype to large series
• Milling, turning, rapid prototyping and mechanical assembly
• Technical study and advice, with support from the design phase through industrialisation to delivery
• Quality control and metrology, with each part checked before delivery
• A speed shop mode for urgent orders

Materials

The workshop machines common materials such as aluminium, stainless steel, steel and brass, and more demanding ones such as titanium, Inconel and engineering plastics including POM and PEEK.

Production equipment

• Machining centres: 6 three-axis, 2 four-axis and 7 five-axis machines, from makers including YCM, Haas, Matsuura, DMG Mori and Hurco
• CNC lathes up to 550 millimetres in diameter from Biglia, DMG Mori and Doosan, plus 7 sliding-head bar lathes from Tornos taking up to 38 millimetres
• An air-conditioned assembly room for complex mechanical assemblies, with a separate cosmetic inspection area for the most sensitive parts
• A control laboratory with coordinate measuring machines including a Wenzel X087 and a Tesa MH3D

How a project runs

Customers send drawings, technical files or a specification, the technical team analyses the request, and a quote follows with lead times, materials, treatments and tolerances. Production starts after approval.
