Aerocentre

Aerocentre is the regional aerospace cluster of the Centre-Val de Loire region in France. Created in 2009 as a non-profit association, it exists to develop and sustain the aeronautics, space and defence industries in the region, which it says comprise 336 companies and 24,245 employees. The cluster is based at the Chateauroux-Deols airport industrial zone and is part-funded by the region and the European Union.

• Networking and business development events, including Rencontres Aeronautiques meetings and the 24H Innovation challenge, and collective participation at trade shows such as Aeromart
• Industrial performance programmes modelled on the GIFAS Performances Industrielles programme (PI1 and PI2), helping companies obtain the certifications that guarantee quality

• Negotiated contracts and member services, with an action plan adapted to the sector's renewed growth since 2022

Funding and projects

The European Regional Development Fund co-finances the cluster's 2023 to 2025 programme to develop and sustain the aeronautics, space and defence sectors in Centre-Val de Loire, with a total budget of 1,549,944 euros over three years, of which 410,580 euros from ERDF, aimed at the sustainable growth and competitiveness of SMEs and job creation. Recent news includes agricultural drone demonstrations, a call for expressions of interest at Tours airport and registration for Aeromart 2026.

Events

Aerocentre is listed as an exhibitor at Aeromart Toulouse 2026, Euronaval 2026 and the Paris Air Show 2027, where it coordinates a regional pavilion for its member companies.
