Stable

Stable AS is a precision stabilization technology company based in Arendal, Norway. It makes systems that keep people, sensors and autonomous systems steady when they move. The site says its work covers defence, maritime, health, and yacht and cruise markets. The website is stableonboard.com.

The site says motion reduces precision, safety and performance at sea. The company stabilizes surfaces so precision can be kept. It says its systems reduce motion effects on people and equipment. It also says they improve capability in demanding conditions.

In defence, the site says Stable provides stable conditions for UAVs, sensors and mission-critical systems at sea. It names reduced landing windows and higher operational risk as problems it helps solve. The site also lists stable conditions for maritime work such as offshore operations and workstations.

In health, the site says Stable provides stable conditions for patient transport and mobile treatment. The site cites a gyrostabilized stretcher on an ambulance boat in Norway. For yachts, the site lists stabilized billiard tables and beds. Examples include systems on Explora I, on the yacht HappyMe, and on Al Reem.

The site says the company has delivered more than 65 systems in more than 20 countries. It lists about 30 years of development.

The company began with a stabilized billiard table. The site says it was tested on the Oslo to Kiel ferry in 2000. STABLE AS was founded in 2002 in Arendal. The site says the company received NOK 6 million in 2024 to develop UAV landing technology for offshore wind service.

The contact page offers a technical brief, a demo request, or a general inquiry. The office is at Kirkegaten 5, Arendal, Norway. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00 CET. The site says defence enquiries can be followed up in confidence.
