Boston Group

Boston Group is a Danish importer and dealer of drones and consumer electronics, based in Skovlunde, Denmark. It sells to businesses, public bodies and private buyers across the Nordic region.

The company says it is the largest importer and dealer of drones in the Nordics. Drones from DJI and Parrot are a major part of its range. It also sells products in other categories, such as gaming, headsets, robot vacuums, massage guns, cameras, power stations and gimbals. It works with partners and resellers across the Nordic countries, and it says its logistics let it deliver products from one day to the next.

On the commercial side, Boston and its partners offer drone solutions for authorities, municipalities and companies. These include the drone itself, plus accessories, payloads and software that fit a specific need. The company also gives advice, helps with setup and configuration, and provides service. It describes this as a full solution across the whole chain.

It lists many uses for commercial drones. They include farming, media production, energy inspection of wind turbines, power lines and solar panels, forestry, construction, surveying, infrastructure, archaeology, police work and emergency response. Other uses are transport to hard-to-reach places, carrying defibrillators, medicine and blood samples for hospitals, and inspection and watch tasks for the military.

Boston also points to real projects. In a Swedish pilot, drones carried defibrillators and arrived almost two minutes before the ambulance on average. Boston supplied the drones with Swedron and EverDrone. A DJI Matrice 300 RTK was used to inspect the concrete of the Oresund Bridge, with WeFly. After the 2020 landslide at Gjerdrum in Norway, Matrice 300 drones with thermal cameras helped search for survivors.

The company repairs and services drones and payloads with its own technicians and engineers, both inside and outside warranty. It also offers an extended warranty. Under it, Boston replaces a lost unit, rebuilds a unit or gives priority service. Its website runs in English, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish and Finnish.
