SRC

SRC, Inc. is an independent, not-for-profit research and development corporation chartered by the State of New York and headquartered in Syracuse, New York. Founded in 1957, it applies science, technology and information to defence, environment and intelligence problems for the US military and allied forces, working, in its words, for the best solution rather than the bottom line. Customers include the US Air Force, Army, Marines, Navy, NASIC, DHS, CDC, EPA and the intelligence community.

Capabilities

• Radar systems, including the LCMR counterfire radars (AN/TPQ-48, AN/TPQ-49 and AN/TPQ-50) and the Gryphon family, such as the new Gryphon R1810 supplied for Northrop Grumman's Raid Hunter system
• Counter-UAS and multi-domain operations, including the US Army LIDS counter-UAS technology and the Ghost Mantis system selected for the US Air Force Large Aircraft Survivability System prototype

• Manufacturing and life cycle management through its subsidiary SRCTec, and engineering, operational and environmental services

Recognition and news

SRCTec is a Tier 1 supplier to the US Army under the Department of Defense Superior Supplier Incentive Program, and SRC's CREW Duke V3 counter-IED system won an Army Top 10 Inventions award. In October 2026 SRC secured a US$500 million JIATF-401 Domestic Shield IDIQ contract with an initial US$10.24 million Gryphon radar order, and president and chief executive Kevin Hair was named on the Defense News Force Multipliers list. SRC also has subsidiaries in Australia and Canada and holds CMMC Level 2 certification.
