About Skies Aviation Academy

Skies Aviation Academy is a flight training school in Greece. It is an Approved Training Organisation under EASA rules, with approval number EL ATO-122. The academy was established in 2013. Its main facilities are in Peraia, about 20 minutes from central Thessaloniki.

The academy offers EASA ATP integrated and modular courses. The integrated course is a fixed structure that students often choose. The modular course is taken in sections. It suits students who work or have other duties. Other courses can be custom to the aviation authority and training needs of the student.

Flying training takes place at Alexandroupolis airport. The site describes it as a commercial airfield with a main runway of 2582 metres and a VOR and DME. The site says the area has good weather for flying, with VFR weather on about 330 days a year.

The fleet has seven single engine piston aircraft and one multi engine piston aircraft. Aircraft types listed include Piper, Tecnam, Cessna and Diamond DA42. The aircraft have EFIS displays. The academy also has an ALX Alsim FNPTII simulator and about 1,500 square metres of facilities.

The site lists graduates who now fly for airlines. Examples include a first officer with Oman Air and a first officer with Emirates. The academy also runs a Full Airline Pilot Cadet Program for people with little or no flying experience. A 2027 scholarship offers seven awards based on assessment results.

The contact page lists a phone number of +30 239 202 1100. The address is in Thermaikos, Greece. The site also has a contact form, an interest form and social media accounts.
