Segers Aero

Segers Aero Corp is an FAA approved aircraft engine and propeller overhaul facility in Fairhope, Alabama, specialising in power plant support for the Lockheed Martin C-130 Hercules. It is a Rolls-Royce Authorized Maintenance Center for the T56/501 engine, a Lockheed Martin Hercules QEC (quick engine change) service centre and a Honeywell approved fuel component service centre for the T56/501. Segers holds FAA repair station certificate XXAR695K and is also EASA approved and USAF approved for C-130 engine and propeller maintenance.

• Accessory and component repair, with support shops for inspection, non-destructive testing, cleaning and paint, and machining

History

The company was established as a T56/501 repair station and later relocated to Fairhope, Alabama. Milestones on its site include Rolls-Royce Authorized Maintenance Center status, being the first facility worldwide selected to install the upgraded Rolls-Royce T56 3.5 engine, with 15 engines upgraded in Fairhope since, separation of the accessory and component business to add capacity, AS9110C certification, Honeywell approval on fuel components, and approval as the only MRO worldwide for USAF firewall-forward support of the C-130, covering Lockheed Martin QECs, Rolls-Royce T56 engines and 54H60 propellers.
