On 1 October 2026 Safran Power Units announced an investment to double the capacity of its Grand Prairie, Texas, facility, which produces turbojet engines for missiles and drones. Safran's chief executive Olivier Andries said this reflects Safran's partnership with the United States and its role as a supplier to the American defence sector. The site describes the TR40 family as a benchmark turbojet engine in its class for anti-ship missile applications.
