Pryor Technologie

Pryor Technologie is the French arm of Pryor Technology Limited, a manufacturer of industrial marking and traceability solutions, based at 6 avenue de Norvège in Villebon-sur-Yvette, south of Paris. Pryor designs and manufactures standard and specific marking machines and traceability software, and has made interchangeable characters and engraved punches for 176 years. It serves the aeronautical, medical device, railway, automotive and defence industries through a network of subsidiaries, joint ventures, distributors and partners worldwide.

Marking solutions

• Marking machines using laser, dot peen (micro-percussion), scribing and electrochemical processes, available as portable, benchtop, integrated or machining centre units
• Specific marking and vision systems combining robotics, automation, software and tooling that Pryor designs, manufactures and integrates, including large-format laser marking machines, high-speed on-the-fly laser marking and six-axis laser marking cells
• Press and hammer stamping tools with interchangeable characters and engraved punches

Aeronautical traceability

• Permanent part marking, most often a Data Matrix code applied by dot peen and verified, so that every component from the smallest rivet to turbine blades remains traceable throughout its life, supporting airworthiness, maintenance management and the fight against counterfeit or obsolete parts
• Guidance on part marking specifications, including the US Department of Defense MIL-STD-130 identification marking standard and Data Matrix quality grading under AIM DPM standards
• Technical articles on portable laser safety, EU battery identification regulation 2023/1542 and types of barcodes
