AAA Air Support

AAA Air Support is a manufacturer and stocking distributor of aerospace grade raw materials. From its warehouse in Gardena, near Los Angeles International Airport, it stocks and ships certified aluminum, stainless steel, titanium and specialty alloys worldwide for AOG, MRO and production needs. Roll form stringers are made at its own facility in Wichita, Kansas. Customers include repair stations, airlines, OEMs, distributors and machining companies.

• Roll form stringers (angles, U-channels, Z and C shapes, hat sections and custom profiles), including Boeing BAC part numbers, from small runs to production quantities

Roll forming

Roll forming is described on the company website as a core specialty. Continuous coil or strip is passed through rollers and dies to make consistent profiles. The Wichita facility can produce sections up to 75 feet long, custom one-off profiles and multi-run production programs.

• Cut to size and shearing: the shop has a Lodge & Shipley shear that handles aluminum up to 3/8 inch thick and sheets up to 144 inches long, so customers can buy a small cut piece instead of a full sheet

All materials ship with certificates of conformance and material test reports.

Markets served

The company supports aerospace manufacturers including Spirit AeroSystems, Korean Aerospace Industries and Turkish Aerospace Industries, often on Boeing commercial aircraft programs, as well as defense programs. Trepanning work is also offered to oil and gas and heavy equipment customers.
