Pickering Aviation

Pickering Aviation is a company focused on the Sikorsky UH-60 helicopter, also called the Black Hawk. It calls itself an integrated single source support provider for UH-60 operators. The company says it has been committed to this work for over a decade. It supports operators around the globe.

The company holds the UH-60 type certificate R00003AC. More than 30 aircraft fall under its certificate. Type certificate validations are listed for Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Mexico and the Portuguese Air Force. The company also says it has the only FAA approved MMEL for the platform, and that it runs an ITAR compliant server.

Pickering Aviation is an FAA certified Part 145 repair station. Its maintenance team offers phase maintenance and reset, 48 month inspections, major repairs and AOG support. The company says a large inventory of special tools, test equipment and internal stock supports the work. Completions and refurbishments are also part of the service.

Component work is another service. As an FAA repair station, Pickering Aviation overhauls and repairs UH-60 components. Each component returned to service comes with an FAA 8130-3 airworthiness release tag. Core exchanges are offered for operators who need a quicker solution.

The company holds FAA PMA approval for UH-60 modifications and direct replacement parts. Its STCs include a pilot vertical reference bubble window (SR00896DE), a vertical reference step, fairing and handhold modification (SR00903DE), and a forward recognition pulsating light kit (SR00919DE). The company says it keeps its STC model lists up to date for all type certificates.

Pickering Aviation also sells parts and equipment. It has more than 1,000 parts in stock. These include authentic OEM parts, FAA 8130-3 overhauled, repaired or inspected items, and new surplus and serviceable stock. The company is a certified dealer and installer for several UH-60 brands, including Helitak, Onboard Systems, Rotorcraft Manufacturing, GPMS, BLR and PS Engineering.

The company also offers Foresight MX health monitoring by GPMS as a certified installer. The system watches fleet health from one dashboard and can track flight data and rotor track and balance. It is listed for the H125, H135, EC145, Bell 407, Bell 429, Bell 212, Bell 412, MD 530F, UH-60A, CH-47 and Mi-8 types.
