ADAC Heliservice

ADAC Heliservice is a helicopter technical services company in Sankt Augustin, near Bonn, Germany. It is part of the ADAC group. The company says it has provided helicopter support for more than 60 years. It works around the clock to keep its customers' helicopters ready to fly.

Maintenance is the core business. ADAC Heliservice maintains helicopters and their components at four sites in Germany. These are the headquarters at Sankt Augustin and branches in Halle-Oppin, Landshut and Oberpfaffenhofen. The company says it is an Airbus Service Center. Its work covers helicopter families including the EC135 and H135 and the BK117 and H145.

The design department works under EASA Part 21J. It handles developments and modifications for helicopters. The company also manages continuing airworthiness through its CAMO service. It supplies scope of approval information to customers and offers sales and customer support.

Training is another service. The company runs courses and training for technical staff and operators. It also trains its own apprentices. A June 2025 news post reported that two apprentices passed their aircraft electronics technician exams. The company received a Top Employer 2026 award for the Mittelstand.

The company has grown over many years. It began in 1963 as Air Lloyd in Cologne, with maintenance on its own helicopters. It moved to the Bonn-Hangelar airfield, and it added helicopter maintenance and repair in 1981. The Halle-Oppin site opened in 1992, and the Landshut site followed in 1993. ADAC became the owner in the 1990s.

In 2007 the company became a wholly owned subsidiary of ADAC Luftrettung. It was renamed ADAC Heliservice in 2021. The same year it opened a new maintenance site at the ADAC Luftrettung campus in Oberpfaffenhofen. Its design department has also applied for certification of a new night vision goggle, according to a 2025 news item.
