Packaging Systems

Packaging Systems, Inc. (PSI) is a US distributor and custom packager of chemicals, sealants, adhesives and coatings for the aerospace industry, as well as aerospace parts such as bearings, O-rings and cables. Founded in March 1976 as a manufacturer of meter-mix machines for the car battery industry, it added a polysulfide line later that year and has grown into a full chemical line covering epoxies, urethanes, polysulfides and silicones, with many manufacturers sending product to PSI for custom packaging. Founder Raymond Gray has worked in aerospace packaging since 1958, and the company now operates from a 26,000 square foot industrial building under president Steve Gray.

• Materials from brands including 3M, AkzoNobel paints and coatings, PPG Aerospace, Loctite-Hysol, Permatex, Dow Corning, Flamemaster and Shell
• Packaging of epoxy, urethane, polysulfide and silicone chemistry materials into Bipak, barrier and injection kits, dual side-by-side cartridge kits, and small metal, glass and plastic jars and bottles, with pre-mixing available
• User-friendly packaging designed to reduce waste and make materials easier to handle on the shop floor
• Aerospace hardware including bearings, O-rings and cables, plus equipment and inventory management services

Quality

PSI holds Nadcap accreditation for aerospace sealants, AS9120 Rev B and AS9100 Rev D certification through Amtivo, and publishes its quality clauses for suppliers covering quality systems, right of access for customers and regulators, certificates of conformance, ten-year record retention, flow-down of requirements to sub-tier suppliers, traceability and a minimum 75 percent remaining shelf life on age-sensitive materials. Its team includes an inside sales manager, quality manager, business development manager, accounting and export staff and customer service.
