OSAAP was founded in Europe around 2010 and came under the management of Blk in 2015. The site says OSAAP Technologies is owned by Blackstone Global, a holding company focused on North American manufacturing. Since 2010 it has made custom shadow boards for aerospace and for any industry that needs tools and parts accounted for before leaving a job site.

The main selling points are less foreign object debris, better accountability, protection for tools and standard layouts. Precision cut foam protects tools from impact, movement and loss. The company lists a software suite. Blue Mobile captures scaled tool images from a mobile device. Blue Shadow is its CAD software for layouts. A web portal holds files, approvals and revisions. Blue Manager tracks projects, and BlueNest prepares files for cutting machines. Tools can also be captured on an OSAAP light panel.

Customers can design their own boards or use the company's design service at no charge. A file conversion service turns a proprietary .bord file into a file for a customer's own machines. It costs $35 per file. The company can also supply machinery so a customer can make its own boards.
