NorthPoint Aviation

NorthPoint Aviation is a full-service FBO at Brainerd airport in Brainerd, Minnesota. It sells fuel and aircraft and offers aircraft management, light and heavy maintenance, avionics and flight training.

Services

NorthPoint is an FAA Part 145 repair station (6DVR982C) and services aircraft under 12,500 pounds gross weight. It is a Cirrus Authorized Service Center and is endorsed by Textron as a Cessna service center, handling new and used aircraft warranty work. The shop also maintains Quest Kodiak aircraft and Soloy Allison 250 engines, and it is the exclusive provider of the XP470 engine conversion. Work includes:

• Annual, phase, progressive, pre-purchase, NDI, engine, hot section and landing gear inspections
• Engine and airframe repairs, engine and propeller overhaul, propeller balancing
• Air conditioning, TKS ice system and float maintenance, turboprop engine maintenance
• Interior restoration and weight and balance

The avionics shop installs and repairs TCAS, TAWS, flight management, cockpit voice recorder, ELT and in-flight entertainment systems, does pitot-static and transponder certification, and designs and fabricates custom panels and wire harnesses.

Flight training

NorthPoint is a Cessna Pilot Center offering private, instrument, commercial and CFI training, a 10-day accelerated IFR program, instrument proficiency checks and flight reviews in Cessna 172 aircraft or the student's own airplane. The general aviation terminal also houses the Wings Cafe.
