MyDefence

MyDefence is a Danish company that makes counter drone systems. It describes itself as a global leader in soldier-borne counter-unmanned aerial systems. Its mission is saving lives, and it says it protects those who serve on the frontline.

The idea for the company began in 2009, after a conversation between a co-founder and former CEO and a soldier who had come home injured from war. The company first focused on improvised explosive devices. It then shifted its focus to the threats posed by drones.

In 2013 MyDefence defined the basics of its technology for detecting and jamming wireless signals. It developed that technology with the Danish Defence, and it remains the core of its counter-UAS solutions today. The company says it works closely with frontline forces to get real-time feedback on drone threats.

Its wearable range includes Wingman Edge, The Soldier Kit, the Wingman 103 and 105 detectors, and the Pitbull 101 jammer. The vehicle range includes Watchdog 150 and 250, Dobermann 151 and Ridgeback. Perimeter products include Wolfpack, Watchdog 202, Dobermann 121 and 360, and Boxer.

The Soldier Kit combines detection and jamming in two devices that weigh 2.5 kg in total, and it shares sensor data through ATAK. Wingman alerts operators by sound, vibration and an LED. It can be worn under a jacket, attached to tactical gear, or placed in a backpack.

Its systems support military operations and critical infrastructure, including airports, corporate facilities and high security sites. The company lists sectors including border control, corrections, governments, law enforcement and public safety. Its software includes a situational awareness system and a custom drone library.

The company has offices in Denmark, Singapore, the United Kingdom and Ukraine. It also has offices in Reston, Virginia, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Clearwater, Florida. The site says its strategic presence runs from Denmark to the United States.
