Moeve

Moeve is an energy company from Spain. It was known as Cepsa before the new name, and its website explains the change as Moeve before Cepsa.

The company works in several businesses. These are sustainable mobility, commercial and clean energies, energy parks, chemicals, exploration and production, and trading. It has separate websites for chemicals, marine fuels, lubricants, aviation and asphalts. It also has sites for Portugal, Morocco and Mexico.

Its plan is called Positive Motion 2030. The company says it plans to invest up to 8 billion euros this decade. The money is for new businesses such as green hydrogen and related products, second-generation biofuels, electric mobility and sustainable chemicals. It says it wants to speed up decarbonisation for itself and for its customers.

Green hydrogen is one focus. The Andalusian Green Hydrogen Valley is described as Europe's largest green hydrogen project under development. Its plants will have a combined electrolysis capacity of 2 GW. Construction of the first phase has started.

Biofuels are another focus. The company is building a second-generation biofuel plant in Palos de la Frontera, in Huelva. It calls this the largest such complex in southern Europe. In marine fuels, Moeve supplies conventional fuels and second-generation biofuels in Spanish ports. It has supplied biofuels to a container ship in Barcelona and plans supply for passenger ferry trips from Algeciras. It also runs a hybrid diesel-electric barge in Algeciras Bay.

In October 2026, Moeve said it had beaten its 2030 waste circularity goal early. It publishes quarterly results and a sustainability plan. A dedicated aviation website sits within its group of sites.
