Metcar

Metcar is a maker of carbon graphite materials and parts. Its headquarters is in Ossining, New York. The company says it has engineered self lubricating carbon graphite solutions since 1945.

The materials resist oxidation and run without oil or grease. They work in thin fluids, conduct electricity and keep their shape from extreme cold to over 850 degrees Fahrenheit. They also resist corrosion and wear.

The precision machining shop does build to print work and automated production. It uses multi axis CNC milling and turning. Quality checks run from process planning to final inspection. For medical and pharmaceutical customers, the company offers grades that meet USP Class VI standards.
