About Maule Air

Maule Air Inc. is an American aircraft maker that builds S.T.O.L. aircraft. S.T.O.L. means short take off and landing. The company is based at Spence Field Airport, known as KMUL, in Moultrie, Georgia, in the United States. The site says it has been wholly owned and run by the Maule family since B.D. and June Maule founded it in 1941.

The website lets visitors choose between the MX-7 Series, the M-7 Series and the M-9 Series. It has a brochure to view, a support section and a link for buyers. The company says it takes pride in the customer service it gives.

Owners quoted on the site praise the load space, the performance and the value of their aircraft. They mention landing on short strips, hauling a load and low cost to operate and repair. The page also shares stories such as Alaskan Bushplane Adventure and Maules in Africa.

The company was featured by Georgia Business USA and in the Georgia Trend article called Small Size, Big Values. It also shows a video about winning a 2025 Small Business Rock Star award. The company says the story highlights its family values and its commitment to quality aircraft built in Georgia.

Each year the company hosts a fly-in. The 2026 Maule and All Fly-in runs from 17 to 20 September at the factory airport. It celebrates 64 years of Maule aircraft production and 85 years of Maule aviation products. All pilots are welcome, no matter what aircraft they fly. The program includes factory tours, flight contests, seminars, camping, food and music.
