L&T Precision

L&T Precision is a contract manufacturer in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. It makes parts and assemblies by CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, finishing and integration. The company says it has more than 40 years in manufacturing and holds ISO 9001 certification.

All work now takes place at one modern facility of about 45,000 square feet. The company says it serves customers across North America and that its capabilities stay the same after the move to Tijuana. On site it has welders, CNC programmers, quality inspectors and logistics staff.

The shop covers each step from raw material to finished part. Machining uses 3-axis and 5-axis CNC equipment for automated, high-speed cutting. Laser cutting handles sheet metal parts of all levels of complexity. Press brake forming works on many sizes and shapes. Welding includes TIG, MIG and spot welding by AWS-certified welders, suited to high-volume sheet metal assembly.

Finishing is done in house. L&T Precision offers wet paint, powder coat and silk screen. It also installs hardware, inserts, standoffs and fasteners to specification, and it does mechanical integration and assembly. Inspectors who hold GD&T certification check dimensions before parts ship.

Aerospace is one of its main industries. The company makes contract manufacturing products for passenger and military aircraft. It works with aluminum and titanium alloys and high strength steels. It also serves alternative energy, commercial, data center and medical device customers. For data centers, it builds server racks, chassis, enclosures, cabinets, brackets and structural assemblies in aluminum, cold-rolled steel and stainless steel.

Because the company now works only from Mexico, it can no longer directly serve defense programs that fall under ITAR rules. It refers those projects to a sister company, Pinnacle Precision in Anaheim, California, which offers similar fabrication, machining, welding, finishing and assembly services.
