INVAP

INVAP is a technology company based in San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina. It designs, builds and manages complex technology projects. Its work falls into four areas: nuclear, space, defense and security, and medical systems.

In nuclear, INVAP develops research and production reactors. These reactors are used for science and technology, education, the environment and industry. They also help make radioisotopes for medicine. The company says its reactors play a daily part in people's lives.

In space, INVAP builds technology for communications and for observing the Earth. It has the infrastructure and the people to manage a project through its full cycle, from first design to completion.

The defense, security and environment division develops intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance solutions. These use new technologies to protect communities and their infrastructure. It approved the financial statements for its 51st fiscal year in October 2026.

INVAP runs a national contest for the best engineering theses, now in its fourth edition. A separate foundation, Fundacion INVAP, shares knowledge with the public. The company publishes a code of ethics, offers guided visits and takes resumes from people who want to join its work team.
