Diamond Antenna and Microwave
RF rotary joints and integrated rotating subsystems
About Diamond Antenna and Microwave
Diamond Antenna and Microwave designs, manufactures, tests and repairs RF rotary joints and integrated rotating subsystems. The company was founded in 1956 and says it has been a principal provider of these products for over 60 years. It is a US small business.
Its rotary joints pass RF signals through a rotating interface using waveguide or coaxial lines, in standard and custom designs. Integrated rotating subsystems combine rotary joints with items such as slip rings, fibre optic rotary joints, bearings and drives. The company also overhauls and repairs aged rotary joints regardless of the original manufacturer.
Its markets include air traffic control radars that run 24 hours a day, weather radar, ground, shipboard and airborne military radar, commercial satcom antennas, and space communications and space programmes. The company says it designs for mission critical space requirements and military standards.
The company moved to its current facility in Littleton, Massachusetts, in 2004. It became an employee stock ownership plan company in 2010. It is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100:2016, and its quality system follows AS9104:2012 for rotary components.
In November 2024, Artemis Capital Partners of Boston announced the acquisition of Diamond Antenna and Microwave Corporation. The company uses 3D CAD and RF modeling software, and its staff includes electrical and mechanical engineers, precision machinists, assemblers and RF test experts.
Sales are handled by a direct sales force and select manufacturers' representatives. The site lists sales representatives, technical brochures on rotary joints for space, air traffic control and satcom, and a repair service. Upcoming events include AirSpace World 2026 and the Small Satellite Conference.
