Interface Concept

Interface Concept is an independent French designer and manufacturer of high-performance embedded boards and systems for ground, naval, air and industrial applications, established in 1987 and headquartered at 3 rue Félix Le Dantec in Quimper, Brittany. For over 35 years industry and defence integrators have used its communication and computing products, which are sold as commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) board-level products based on industrial standards such as 3U and 6U VPX, CompactPCI, VME, FMC, XMC and PMC.

Products

• Gigabit, 10, 40 and 100 Gigabit Ethernet switches and IP routers, including 3U VPX dual-plane 40G and 1/10/40 Gigabit switches for hybrid copper and optical backplanes and a dual-plane hybrid PCIe Gen2/3 and Ethernet switch
• Single board computers based on Intel and NXP processors, such as a 6U VME QorIQ board with on-board switch and FPGA
• FPGA boards based on AMD devices, including a 3U VPX VITA 65 board with quad 12-bit 20 GSPS ADC and dual 16-bit 28 GSPS DAC, and boards with two AMD Kintex UltraScale or Virtex UltraScale+ FPGAs
• Analog and digital acquisition mezzanine cards, storage modules, 2D and 3D graphics solutions and XMC/PMC carrier cards

• Airborne optronics and radar systems, where integrators look for long-term anti-obsolescence solutions based on COTS or modified COTS products
• Battlefield and ground vehicle computing and networking, with SBCs, routers and FPGA boards designed around size, weight and power constraints
• Naval ISR, C4I and networking systems requiring scalable single board computers and communication boards
• Product customisation (MCOTS), custom solutions, technical support through integration, deployment and maintenance, life cycle support and repairs under a return material authorisation process confirmed within one working day

Quality and partners

Interface Concept is certified ISO 9001:2015 and its products comply with European RoHS, REACH and WEEE regulations; each board is tested and quality controlled in house. The company works with the VITA and PCI-SIG standards bodies and with AMD, Intel (as a Gold partner), NXP (registered partner) and Wind River, and sells through distributors worldwide including powerBridge in Germany, Milexia in Spain, ME Embedded, Elma, AcQ International and BlueLine, with representation in the UK, Italy, Turkey and Brazil.
