IAEMA

IAEMA, the International Airport Equipment Manufacturers' Association, is a global trade association for the aviation ground support equipment industry. It represents manufacturers, distributors and leasing companies. Its office is in Canton, Georgia.

The association was founded in 2009 by ground support equipment manufacturers. They wanted a stronger shared voice for the business interests of the industry. Today IAEMA brings together makers, distributors and leasing firms to build connections, visibility and growth.

Its mission is to promote and support the business health of the ground support equipment community. This includes companies of all sizes. IAEMA says its members represent 80 percent of the global ground support equipment industry, with members in more than 170 countries. It supports airlines, ground handlers and FBOs, and it does this through steady communication and industry events.

Membership gives companies more industry visibility, exhibitor benefits and a stronger collective voice. IAEMA also keeps a member directory. Buyers can use it to find equipment makers and suppliers that serve airlines, ground handlers, airports and military aviation around the world.

IAEMA runs two global exhibitions. GSE Expo Europe is the European event, with the 2026 edition upcoming. The International GSE Expo is planned for New Orleans, Louisiana, from 19 to 21 October 2027. It offers indoor exhibits, live equipment demonstrations and time to meet industry peers.

The association leads through a board of directors made up of member company representatives. Founding members include TLD, Oshkosh AeroTech, Cobus and Vestergaard. IAEMA also partners with Women of GSE, a group that connects and supports women who work in ground support equipment. It works with media partners to share news with the industry.
