Hubway makes conversational AI agents for airports, train stations and shopping malls. Its agents help visitors in large physical spaces, who scan an information panel or touchpoint, ask a question in their own words, and get directions, service information and real-time updates.

Information panels and touchpoints placed across a hub become entry points to an intelligent assistant. Passengers can get answers at any time in more than 90 languages. An indoor semantic map powers wayfinding and commerce suggestions, and the company calls its combined interaction approach hypermodality.

Operators receive anonymised insights on movement, demand and behaviour. The company says these help operational and commercial decisions, and that the service can improve airport service quality scores.

Paris-Beauvais Airport has strengthened its partnership with Hubway through 2029. Vienna Airport is piloting Hubway's conversational AI agent for passenger guidance. The site says the work helps airports keep passengers informed and guided in several languages.

The site reports that 84% of conversations lead to a product or service offer. It also says there is more than one commercial offer per conversation, and that shops and stores are mentioned in more than three conversations each time.
