About Heliwagon

Heliwagon LLC makes the Heliwagon, an electric helicopter landing dolly controlled by a wireless remote. It is designed to remove the common problems of manually operated dollies, so one person can move a helicopter on the ground. Each unit is made in the United States.

Features

  • Wireless remote control with up to 500 feet of range, FCC approved, usable single handed or tethered
  • Weight capacity of 9,000 lbs and forward speed of 200 feet per minute
  • 360 degree walkaround capability and easy movement in tight areas
  • Over four hours of continuous run on commercial grade batteries, with an onboard charger for 110v or 240v outlets
  • Low profile 17 inch deck with a non skid polyurethane surface resistant to fuels, hydraulic fluids and other chemicals
  • Four corner LED deck lighting and full underneath LED lighting
  • Tow bar assembly with a 2 inch receiver hitch, so the dolly can be towed if needed
  • Powder coated frame

How it is used

The pilot or ground crew member has full walkaround visibility with positive control during aircraft movement. Heliwagon says the dolly eliminates tugs, tows and hangar rash, and it can be stored in tight spaces. Customizations are available, and the website shows a state police helicopter on a Heliwagon in its image gallery.
