About Fulltron Aviation

Fulltron Aviation is a full service FBO in Springfield, Missouri. The site lists fuel, flight training, aircraft maintenance and custom aircraft paint. The meta description names Jet A and 100 LL fuel. Separate phone lines are given for the FBO, maintenance, the flight school and the paint shop.

The company is named after Mark Fullerton, a member of the U.S. Aerobatic Team whom friends called Fulltron. Mark died in 2018. His brother, Marlin Fullerton, then started the flight school to carry on his legacy and share Mark's love of flying with new pilots.

The paint shop comes from Marlin's career in the auto body business, and he still owns a body shop. He saw high costs and uneven paint quality on aircraft and believed he could do better. The company says that this craft now goes into every plane that comes through its doors.

The About page also tells the history of Springfield Downtown Airport, known as 3DW. It says the field opened in 1925 as McCluer Flying Field and was bought by the city in 1928. Commercial air service started in 1929. During the Second World War the airport moved wounded soldiers to O'Reilly General Hospital. Voters approved a bond to build a new airport in 1942, construction began in 1944, and the new field opened on July 2, 1945. Today it is a privately owned public use airport.

The contact page has a form and an email contact for the front office.
