About Fraport AG

Fraport AG is an airport company. It operates Frankfurt Airport, which is the largest airport in Germany. Fraport provides the full range of operational and management services for airside and terminal operations. The company is active at 30 airports on four continents. It went public in 2001 and started as Südwestdeutsche Luftverkehr AG.

Fraport's group airports and companies are in Bulgaria, Brazil, Greece, Hong Kong, Peru, Slovenia, Türkiye and the United States. The Brazilian airports are Fortaleza and Porto Alegre, and the Peru airport is Lima. Fraport's international division handles airport investment and consulting work outside Frankfurt.

At Frankfurt Airport, Fraport runs airside and terminal operations, ground handling, airport charges and the airport fire department. Its medical center and corporate safety and security unit also serve the airport. The group runs Frankfurt CargoHub for cargo. Frankfurt Airport is also a major marketplace for shops, restaurants and bars, with retail and advertising spaces for brands.

Fraport offers ID cards and authorization services, driver training, parking and mobility options, IT services, energy management and event locations. It also provides VIP services and real estate. Construction projects include airport expansion and new terminal work. Ground services equipment that is taken out of service, such as aircraft tugs, lift trucks, passenger stairs and baggage carts, is sold at affordable prices.

Fraport shares its expertise in flight and terminal operations, ground handling, retail and infrastructure with subsidiaries, joint ventures and customers. Its management systems cover occupational health and safety, quality, safety and the environment. Its digital work includes AI and a robotics strategy. In 2019, more than 1,400 aircraft took off and landed at Frankfurt Airport each day, and over 6,000 tonnes of cargo were handled there per day.
