FLYING Finance

Aircraft financing from Chattanooga, Tennessee, with a Cirrus SR and Vision Jet loan page

About FLYING Finance

FLYING Finance is an aircraft financing company at 405 Cherry Street, Chattanooga, Tennessee. It is part of Firecrown, the media group that publishes FLYING Magazine, Plane & Pilot, KITPLANES, AVweb, AvBuyer and Aircraft For Sale. According to its website, Firecrown acquired the aircraft finance broker Sky Allies Capital in July 2023 and rebranded it FLYING Finance. The company arranges loans for piston, turboprop, jet, helicopter and light sport aircraft buyers across the United States and describes itself as a lender network rather than a single bank.

Services

  • Loans for certified piston aircraft, light sport and MOSAIC aircraft, experimental and kit aircraft, backcountry, floatplane and flying club aircraft
  • Turboprop and jet financing, business aircraft and helicopter financing
  • Flight school, simulator and avionics financing, refinancing and trade up loans
  • Online tools: loan calculator, live loan rates, affordability and ownership planning calculators, lease versus buy comparison
  • Buying guides on down payments, credit requirements, pre-buy inspections, LLC versus personal title, sales tax by state and hangar costs

The website states that pre-approval takes two business days and starts with a soft credit pull. It publishes a starting rate of 6.61% for certified piston aircraft, with 15% minimum down payment and amortization up to 20 years (October 2026). Rates change; confirm with the company.

Cirrus

FLYING Finance has a dedicated Cirrus financing page covering the SR20, SR22, SR22T and the SF50 Vision Jet. The page explains how each model is underwritten, including generation differences from G3 to G7+, the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System as a collateral factor, the ten year CAPS repack as a known maintenance event and the premium lenders see on G7+ aircraft with Safe Return autoland. The company says it has closed Cirrus transactions across the SR20, SR22, SR22T and Vision Jet, including an SR22T in Tennessee in May 2026. It also publishes a 2026 Cirrus SR22 buyer's guide and a separate Vision Jet financing hub, since the jet is financed as a light jet rather than a certified piston aircraft.

Team

The site lists Keller Laseter as Chief Commercial Officer, Tripp Thurston as COO and Group President (also CFO of Firecrown Media), Cassandra Bealer in loan operations and further loan specialists. The about page says the Firecrown group reaches more than 750,000 pilots and aircraft owners, and that FLYING Finance was created so that buyers in that audience could finance a purchase inside the same group.
