Fairlyne
AI resale of unused airline seats and hotel rooms
About Fairlyne
Fairlyne is a software company that helps airlines, railways and hotels recover and resell unused seats and rooms after a booking has been made.
The company sells an AI platform as a software service. It is built for travel operators, and the operator keeps its own brand. Fairlyne says it helps reduce empty seats on busy trips and gives passengers a fair option when their plans change. It says there are no fare structure changes and no override of the revenue management system.
For airlines, the product is called SeatResale. It recovers seats from no-shows and resells them at market value, while the airline keeps control of yield and revenue per available seat kilometre. Fairlyne states that this can add 1 to 2 percent in extra revenue from no-shows. It says implementation takes 12 weeks. A second airline product covers buy-back and swap. It targets flexible passengers and moves demand before departure. A marketplace product extends resale further. Railways and hospitality firms have similar tools for last-minute changes and unused capacity.
The platform has three core parts. Cockpit is a control centre where a team can see flight-level demand, capacity and revenue and set its own recovery rules. The white-label experience gives passengers a branded journey on the operator's own channels. Francyne AI learns from more than 47 operational and commercial signals and adapts as demand shifts.
Fairlyne began when its two founders met on the executive committee of Accor. The company was founded with a clear aim: to turn no-show recovery into a revenue management tool. It closed a pre-seed round backed by senior travel executives and launched OUIGOSWAP, the resale programme of the rail operator OUIGO. PhocusWire named it one of the most innovative travel start-ups for 2023. A 3 million dollar seed round followed.
The company later joined the second France Tourisme Tech group, a programme run by the French Ministry of Economy. Transavia France and Flair Airlines went live in the breakthrough year. Transavia Netherlands then joined the resale programme. Fairlyne has also added a marketplace deployed with OUIGO and an AI layer for post-booking decisions.
