Executive Flight Training

Executive Flight Training, LLC is a Texas-based provider of insurance-approved flight training for owner-flown and professionally flown business aircraft under FAA Part 61, with the motto Fly Safe, Train Smart. It builds every training event around the individual pilot's experience level, type of flying and goals, with no large classes, a personalised syllabus and no time spent on material that does not apply to the pilot's operation. The school uses full-motion, type-specific simulators and states that it is approved by the same insurance underwriters as FlightSafety, SimCom and CAE, while its prices average 60 percent less than the large schools. Its training sites are at 2800 Valley View Lane in Irving, Texas, in the Dallas area, with addresses also listed in Pflugerville and Brookshire, Texas.

Programmes

• King Air: initial training of three to five days, recurrent training of one to two days and differences training across the BE-90, C90, C90A, B and F90, A100 and B100, 200, 250 and 260, and 300, 350 and 360 series
• Cessna Citation, Pilatus PC-12, Daher TBM, Piper Cheyenne, Piper Meridian and Piper Malibu programmes
• Beechcraft Baron and twin Cessna training, and second-in-command (SIC) training
• Online ground school completed before arrival, one-on-one simulator preparation and a flight profile built around how the pilot actually flies the aircraft, so that most pilots complete recurrent training in a single day

Instructors

All instructors are current, active professional pilots with airline, military, test pilot, contract and corporate backgrounds, and the average instructor tenure is ten years. The team is led by an owner and chief instructor who is also an FAA designated pilot examiner (DPE), supported by owners handling finance and operations, a director of operations and scheduling and a marketing director. The company argues that the larger saving from its approach is the time pilots get back for the cockpit, their business or their family, and it publishes pro tips for pilots on its site.
