EAS Barcelona

EAS Barcelona is an EASA approved training organisation. It is based in Barcelona, Spain. It trains commercial pilots and airline transport pilots. The school holds EASA ATO approval number E-ATO-288. It also maintains ISO 9001 certified quality management systems. The management team reports more than two thousand pilots trained.

The school serves many types of students. It trains people who are starting from zero flight experience. It also helps licensed pilots who want to add new ratings. Airlines and other training organisations use its services too. Students come from more than fifty countries around the world.

The school offers an integrated ATPL course. This programme takes students from zero to airline transport pilot licence. It also offers modular training options. These include private pilot licence, theoretical ATPL, time building, night VFR, multi engine class rating, instrument rating, and commercial pilot licence training.

Advanced courses include upset prevention and recovery training, aerobatic rating, APS MCC, MCC, and jet orientation course. Instructor courses cover flight instructor, class rating instructor, instrument rating instructor, and multi crew cooperation instructor. The school also runs instructor refresher seminars. Other services include CB IR, IR conversions, renewals, revalidations, and ICAO to EASA licence conversions.

Flight training takes place at Sabadell airport. This airport is about thirty minutes away from the classrooms in Barcelona. The fleet uses Tecnam P2002JF and P2008JC aircraft for basic training. It uses the Tecnam P2006T twin for advanced and IFR training. All of these aircraft have glass cockpits.

The school has four simulators. Two are FNPT II devices based on the Tecnam P2006T. One simulator is in Sabadell and one is in Barcelona. The school also has an FNPT II MCC device based on the Airbus A320. Aerobatic aircraft are available for UPRT and aerobatic courses.

EAS Barcelona is a member of AEFA. This is the Spanish association of aeronautical training schools. The school is approved under Maldives MCAA regulations. It has provided over two hundred fifty thousand hours of flight instruction.
