ELMAN

ELMAN is an Italian company that designs and makes communication and monitoring systems for the sea. It has worked since 1975 and has its headquarters and factory in Pomezia, near Rome. The company describes its mission as making the sea a safer place.

ELMAN's product range includes radio devices, AIS devices, VoIP systems, naval systems, software, power supplies, remote controls, antennas and accessories. Its main technology areas are radio, AIS, software, GMDSS, VTS, RIS, VCS and ICS.

ELMAN builds systems for several uses. These are radio communication, VoIP integrated communication, maritime domain awareness and coastal surveillance. They also cover port management, river traffic monitoring, navigation safety support, fisheries control and sensor integration. Its software lines include Pelagus, VTMIS and Rivus. Its TUNA AIS device is linked to fisheries control.

ELMAN systems are present in 51 countries. The company has been appointed main contractor for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of VTS and PMIS systems at the Nador West Med Port. About 52 percent of its staff are graduates.

ELMAN takes part in trade events. It planned to be at SeaFuture 2025 in La Spezia and AirSpace World 2025, and it sponsored FORA 2025. It also won an award for the best corporate short film.
