About Eezeetags bv

Eezeetags is a Dutch company that makes self-adhesive linerless bag tags for airports. The tags are designed so that passengers can tag their own bags. The company develops and produces the tags itself.

The site says the founder, Borry Vrieling, started the company in 2012. His idea was that a modern bag drop should not need a tag designed 40 years ago for a trained agent. KLM was the first airline to use the tags. Lufthansa followed, and then many other airlines.

The tag has a special adhesive that only sticks to itself. It does not stick to bags, clothes or floors. There is no backing paper to pull away, so there is no waste. The site says the design follows the IATA 1740 A resolution. A single picture instruction on the tag does not depend on language.

The company says airports using the tags have raised bag drop capacity by up to 200 percent. It quotes officials from Gatwick, Bristol and Dublin airports and a CEO of Aer Lingus on their trials. It says it works with kiosk and self-service bag drop vendors, and helped kiosk printer makers build an eezeetags certified printer. The site has a button to get in touch.
