Elten

Eltonomous is an autonomous baggage loading system designed and built for the aviation industry by Elten Logistic Systems, a Dutch logistics automation company headquartered at Bobinestraat 5 in Veenendaal with a team of 70 people. Airports worldwide struggle to find staff to load unit load devices because of labour shortages and the physical nature of the job, and Eltonomous addresses this by taking over the heavy lifting, reducing physical strain, improving working conditions for baggage handlers and speeding up operations. The system is in use at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.

• Loads multiple ULDs with one machine, supporting AKH and AKE containers, dollies or the customer's own device, with retrofittable solutions tailored to specific carts and the available footprint
• Sorts different baggage types, from standard suitcases to irregular sizes and special items, and handles multiple flows such as business class, economy and transfer baggage within a single streamlined process
• Needs no sequencing for deployment, allowing unlimited segregations, and fits brownfield and greenfield environments with a compact footprint and minimal building modification
• A standardised, modular system design that supports staff rather than replacing them, reducing workload and boosting operational speed
• Unloading is covered by partner Moderniek B.V.
