EDGE Group

EDGE is an advanced technology group for defence and security headquartered in Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates. Launched in November 2019, it was established to develop solutions for defence and beyond and to act as a catalyst for change in the sector. According to its site, EDGE consolidates more than 35 entities into six core clusters: Platforms and Systems, Missiles and Weapons, Space and Cyber Technologies, EDGE Commercial, Technology and Industrialisation, and Homeland Security.

The HUNTER 2-S is a fixed-wing, tube-launched loitering munition that flies autonomously to a target area and loiters while searching, with engagement activated by a remote pilot. Published figures include a 2 kg payload, 45 minutes endurance, 25 m/s cruising speed, 50 km communication range, 2.2 m wingspan, 1.5 m length, a maximum altitude of 1,000 m and a take-off weight of up to 13 kg, launched from a reloadable mobile launcher. The site also features the SHADOW 25 and a swarm capability for the HUNTER 2-S.
