Czechoslovak Group

Czechoslovak Group, known as CSG, is an industrial and technology group based in Prague, Czech Republic. It builds on the heritage of Czechoslovak industry. Its main sectors are defence and security, automotive and aerospace.

The group's products are very varied. They include heavy-duty vehicles, radars, air traffic control systems and ammunition of all calibres. The group says it is bringing new technologies of the 21st century into its products over time.

CSG is made up of many traditional industrial and commercial companies from the defence and civil industries. Most are in the Czech and Slovak Republics. Others are in Italy, Spain, Great Britain and the USA.

Its work is organised into divisions. The Defence Systems division brings together older and newer defence companies in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and other European countries. Its product areas are land systems, medium and large calibre ammunition, aerospace and defence electronics, and advanced systems. A second division is called Ammo+. Member companies include the truck maker Tatra Trucks.

CSG says it reinvests a large part of its profits in its member companies to expand and to improve production and innovation. It also funds its growth with bank loans and bonds, and it has an investor relations section with reports and results.

The group publishes a compliance programme and a certification page. It also runs a foundation. Its sustainability plan aims to lower the environmental footprint and energy use of its factories, improve governance and improve conditions for employees. CSG also recruits top managers and offers jobs across the group.
