Comau is an Italian industrial automation company. It develops systems, products and services that combine robotics, vision technology, artificial intelligence and digital platforms. It has more than five decades of engineering experience and works with companies of all sizes.

With Automha, a fully owned company for intralogistics and warehouse automation, Comau offers end-to-end automation across production and intralogistics. It also made a strategic investment in Intecells, which supports its work in next-generation battery technology.

Besides automotive and e-mobility, Comau supports renewable energy, battery storage, hydrogen technologies, logistics, aerospace and pharmaceuticals. Its machining solutions are also used in the mechanical, aerospace, medical and energy fields.

Its portfolio includes joining, assembly and machining solutions for traditional and electric vehicles, robotised manufacturing systems, industrial and collaborative robots, wearable exoskeletons and autonomous mobile robots. It also covers end-to-end battery manufacturing and cell formation. Services include asset monitoring, project management and consulting, IoT, after-sales and remote support, and training.

For vehicle body assembly it offers ComauFlex, Open RoboGate, VersaPallet and VersaRoll. Open RoboGate can handle up to 18 robots and 6 frame gates. In machining it offers machining centres, crankshaft machines, handling, assembly and test equipment, and thermal spray coating, plus turnkey systems. It also offers spindle refurbishing, retooling and digitalisation services.

Comau reports 9 innovation centres, more than 1,200 patents, more than 4,000 employees and more than 200 certified project managers. It has 15 manufacturing plants and a network across Europe, North America, South America and Asia Pacific. Comau Academy and its e.DO platform provide training in robotics and automation.
