Chronos Aviation

Chronos Aviation is a maintenance company at Chicago Rockford International Airport (KRFD), 5121 Falcon Road, Rockford, Illinois, about 55 nautical miles west of Chicago. The business traces its roots back more than fifty years and was formerly Emery Air, which bought the line services division of Raytheon Aircraft Services Rockford in 1999. In 2019 the company acquired the MRO operations of Emery Air MRO, LLC and now operates as Chronos Aviation, with divisions for corporate and commercial aircraft maintenance, unit load device repair and a certification engineering team.

The website shows a Cirrus Authorized Service Center badge on its maintenance and general aviation pages, next to its Textron Aviation Authorized Service Facility badge. It gives no Cirrus model or service detail beyond the designation. Cirrus Aircraft's locator lists the following:

General aviation maintenance

Chronos is an FAA approved repair station, certificate E81R759X, described as a Class IV Part 145 station with FAA and EASA approval. The general aviation department works on most single and twin piston and turboprop aircraft and is an authorized Beechcraft service center for the Baron and Bonanza. Listed work includes annual inspections, engine removal and replacement, avionics upgrades and repairs, ADS-B and NextGen compliance, service bulletin and AD compliance, import and export certificates of airworthiness, major structural, damage and composite repairs, and aircraft disassembly, crating and shipping. Corporate aviation and shops

The corporate side covers inspections, engine work and repairs for business aircraft, with an engine overhaul and repair shop, an accessory shop, an avionics department and a parts department supporting Textron piston aircraft. The shop is open 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with after-hours work by appointment and an AOG line at (815) 315-4785. The airport has runways of 10,002 ft and 8,200 ft.
