About Capella Space

Capella Space builds and runs synthetic aperture radar satellites, known as SAR. It supplies radar imagery to government and commercial customers. The company says its data is available day and night, in any weather.

SAR uses radar signals, so it can see through clouds, fog, darkness and smoke. The site contrasts this with optical satellites, which are held back by cloud cover and light. Capella lists imagery at better than 0.25 metre resolution and revisit times under three hours over key regions. It also names two to fifteen revisit chances per day and a fully automated tasking platform.

The company serves four main areas. Defence and intelligence users get round the clock monitoring. Maritime awareness covers vessel detection, port monitoring and spotting unusual activity. Disaster response uses SAR when storms or darkness block optical systems. Infrastructure and asset monitoring tracks assets, supply chains and environmental change over time.

Capella describes its solutions as space systems, SAR data, automated tasking and sensor technology. It says it designs, builds and operates satellite systems, from spacecraft design to ground infrastructure. In May 2026 it launched taskable InSAR for automated, millimeter scale Earth monitoring. A June 2026 blog post covers an optical communications terminal on its Acadia-10 satellite.

The website has a resource library with blogs, case studies, product guides and research papers. The contact page has an inquiry form, a careers page and a separate mailbox for vendor inquiries. The site reports a customer satisfaction score of 95 percent.
