About BOSCHUNG

Boschung makes year-round equipment for airports, towns and roads to keep surfaces safe. The range covers snow removal, de-icing, detection and sweeping. The company is Swiss and family-owned.

The text says Marcel Boschung Senior started it in 1947 in a garage in Schmitten, Switzerland. Today it has over 160 people at its headquarters in Switzerland and over 700 worldwide. It runs 12 offices in 11 countries. The site says its equipment cleans surfaces at large airports and busy highways.

The company lists milestones. In 1964 it made an Ice Early Warning System, a measuring instrument for roads and runways. The Pony vehicle came in 1970. In 1979 it released Fixed Automated Spraying Technology, which stops ice forming without staff. The Jetbroom, a high-speed snow removal machine made for runways and highways, followed in 1985.

Current items on the home page include the Jetbroom 10000, the Urban-Sweeper S2.0 MAX and the electric Pony P3.0. News items cover a test of the Jetbroom 10000, a spreader delivery to Autobahn GmbH and a Jetbroom job that cleared a highway for a Swiss Air Force landing exercise.

Airports are one of several customer groups, next to towns and road operators. The site is in English, German, French, Spanish, Chinese, Russian, Italian and Danish. It has a product bag for requests, a support page and a careers page.
