Aviationlads

Aviationlads is a German video and marketing studio for the flight simulation community. It makes cinematic trailers for flight simulator add-ons such as aircraft, airports and software tools. The studio says it is based in Germany.

The founder started Aviationlads in 2017. He combined his love of visual effects and flight simulation. The goal is to add value for developers by improving how they show their products and speak to their community. The studio uses long experience in graphic design to make high-quality simulation videos.

The airport trailer is a two-minute film that shows every detail of a new airport scenery, with golden hour light and sweeping aerial shots. The studio calls it its bestseller. The aircraft trailer runs two to three minutes and shows the key features of a new aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator, from the cockpit to the clouds.

The utility tool trailer runs about two minutes. It explains a new tool, plugin or sim utility and adds voice-overs and custom animations. The real-life trailer covers real events, corporate videos, product showcases and trips to collect reference material.

Aviationlads also offers full-service marketing. This includes social media ads, print materials, branding concepts and merchandise. The studio has made trailers for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and 2020 and for X-Plane 12. Subjects include the Cessna Caravan, the Tecnam P2012, the Piper Cheyenne III, the Taylorcraft BC-12D and the Airbus A380.
