Apios is an aerospace engineering company that designs cabin systems for airlines. Its systems carry power, data and entertainment through an aircraft cabin. The site says airlines keep control of the passenger experience they offer. The site does not name a head office location.

The company sells three product lines. CONNECT is the cabin backbone, a network that carries power and data to every seat or monument and is ready for in-flight connectivity. REFLECT is an in-flight entertainment system for the seatback or monument, on an open Android platform. DIGITAL is a cloud-based entertainment layer that is not tied to Apios hardware.

The company's approach is called FABRIC. Airlines get full engineering documentation and open APIs. They can connect, certify and maintain the systems themselves. Third party hardware and software can work alongside Apios systems after installation.

Airlines can choose which products they need. They do not have to buy the whole system. The site says the power system shares available power by the airline's own rules, and that screens and processing units are separate for simpler maintenance. Airlines can also choose their own retail, content and advertising partners.

For passengers, the site describes screens from HD up to 4K and phone casting to the seatback screen. USB-C charging can deliver up to 100W. The screens are powered first, and charging power is shared fairly across the cabin. Passengers can use a personalised digital experience in their own language.

The company is also designing ELYSIUM, an economy seat in development. Its seat structure, electronics, sensing and entertainment are designed as one system.
