Amphenol CIT

Amphenol CIT designs and manufactures interconnect products and aircraft modification hardware for the aerospace, military and defense, space and industrial markets. Its headquarters is at 100 Tensolite Drive in St. Augustine, Florida. The company says it can supply everything from a single connector or contact to the design and engineering of whole aircraft systems. Its history goes back to 1940, when Henry Dudley Minich founded Tensolite in North Tarrytown, New York. Tensolite became part of Carlisle Companies in 1959, and Carlisle Interconnect Technologies (CIT) was formed in 1998.

Certification and engineering

The company offers support for FAA, EASA or regional STC approval, PMA parts manufacturing, airframe OEM qualification and TSO. It states that it holds FAA PMA, Nadcap, ITAR, AS9100 and ISO 9001 status. In-house labs support product qualification and testing, including measurement of insertion loss, phase matching, time delay and VSWR for RF assemblies.
