About Airways Aviation

Airways Aviation is an aviation education and training group. It runs academies in Australia, India, Italy and the UAE. The site also lists Morocco and Cabo Verde among its study locations. It says it has over 45 years of experience.

The group says it has provided certified EASA, CASA and ICAO training programs. These include airline transport pilot licences, commercial pilot licences, bachelor's degrees, diplomas and certificate courses. It offers five core areas: pilot training, defence and security, cabin crew, aircraft maintenance and ground operations.

The site gives these numbers: more than 12,000 trained commercial airline pilots, more than 30,000 cabin, ground and maintenance graduates, more than 100 aircraft in the fleet, more than 10 training locations and more than 15 simulators. The fleet is built around Diamond, Cessna and Piper models, and most aircraft have EFIS avionics. Students also train on the Garmin G1000 glass cockpit.

Aircraft move between training sites during the year to match demand. The group runs simulators from major makers for single and multi crew training. The site names its founder and chairman, Romy Hawatt, and its group chief executive, Mauro Calvano.

The group describes a student first approach with full time and part time pathways. The site lists phone numbers and industry and academic partners.
